There are great tools you can use for a technology lookup of a particular website such as BuiltWith or SimilarTech in general. But this page is more than what you can lookup using a 3rd party service. We have presented tools, services and core technologies we used when creating WP Snappy.
Blogging Platform – Self hosted WordPress
The first step of any website is to build a place for the contents to live. We are using WordPress CMS (Content Management System) for WP Snappy. This website runs on self hosted WordPress with Genesis framework. The perfect combination, we hope readers won’t disagree. It was an easy decision for us to move forward with WordPress and Genesis framework. We wanted this as much as clean and fastest possible.
We are trying our best to be more detail oriented. This minimal and clutter-free design will help readers to adhere in no time.
We are using a heavily customized version of Copyblogger’s Genesis Sample Theme. Please note that it was intended to use only with WP Snappy so we are unable to share it in public.

As we mentioned we are using Genesis Framework for WP Snappy.
Currently we are on A2 Hosting. It’s kind of a risk we took but we don’t regret about that decision. A2 Hosting is fast, secure and provide great support unlike many hosting companies with faster response time.
WordPress is renown for the use of plugins to extend it’s functionalities. When someone of us comes with a plugin idea we’d normally go and check it whether it’s needed. In other words we are really picky when selecting what plugins to use.
Akismet Anti-Spam – Akismet is an amazing plugin from Automattic. Akismet comes with WordPress by default. Best comment anti spammer for WordPress.

Comment Approved – Comment Approved plugin notify commenters when their comment gets approved by site admin. Another great plugin if you want people to engage on your blog posts.

Evernote – Evernote is undoubtedly the best note taking app. For bloggers, Evernote helps them to plan their content, social strategy and drafts. We use it to mark down new content ideas and to handle drafts in most of time. Evernote is everywhere. You can sync between multiple devices at once.
Bear – Bear is a award winning beautiful app for crafting notes. Even though we prefer to combine Evernote and Bear for various reasons, bear is very powerful tool which could replace Evernote completely.
Dropbox – Dropbox is an award-winning cloud storage partner. Dropbox helps you to store your files in the cloud and let you access them wherever you go. In WP Snappy, we use Dropbox to store our site backups and sharable files among our members of the editorial team.
Google Drive – Google drive acts the same as Dropbox do. Only difference is Google Drive provides 15Gbs of storage for our files. Google drive account comes as default with a Gmail account.
Social media tools are must for bloggers when it comes to populate blogs among our audience.
